If our ID got locked, we will never be able to join or login to yahoo messenger. When we try to type our ID and type  password in chat client such as official chat client of yahoo messenger the error message will arise.

Why our ID got locked? Lock ID work to lock our ID or username because we have a weak password, so whit a little iterations our password got locked. But, we will never got locked if we never online or login to yahoo messenger. ‘Cause Lock ID usually working if we are online. To protect our ID or to prevent Lock ID, we must have a strong password. We must be create password which have not less 8 character or more. We can also use uppercase, number, and symbol.

Public ID or Alias ID

Public ID or Alias ID is different with Multi ID. If Multi ID have to change your register of yahoo messenger, but Public ID is not. Multi ID don’t have a limitation, but Public ID have a limitation. The limit of Public ID is six.

Using your Public ID you can chat with your friend with 7 ID including your primary ID. But, if you want to join to room you can only use one of your Public ID. You will never join room with 2 or more Public ID. This is much different with Multi ID that can be joined to chat room with 2 or more ID.
